The CeramicSpeed PF30a Bottom Bracket for Shimano is a Cannondale-specific standard for their 73mm wide bottom bracket shells. The CeramicSpeed PF30a Bottom Bracket for Shimano kit makes it possible to install Shimano and other 24mm diameter thru-axle cranks into a Cannondale frame.

CeramicSpeed Bearings come installed in two cups and are connected through the shell via a spacer tube. There are versions with Standard and Coated Bearings. Both have super round CeramicSpeed Balls and hardened-steel races. The CeramicSpeed Coated have an additional attribute: a 3-micron thick metallic layer over the races. This addition makes the races harder and smoother, lowering drag and increasing life.
